Weekly Workshop Update: A Sonic Story and Some Motor Madness

It’s been another busy one here at Platform Collectables. If you missed it, we posted a short video on YouTube about a Sonic Models loco that came in for a bit of attention. It’s well worth a look — these little stories really show what goes into keeping things running properly.

We’ve also had a couple of DCC conversions on the bench this week. They’re currently on hold due to some faulty decoders, which was frustrating to say the least, but credit where credit’s due — Rails of Sheffield were quick to send out replacements, so we’ll be back on track as soon as they arrive.

On top of that, we’ve had three more locos in for servicing. Two of them ended up needing their motors rewound, which definitely threw a spanner in the works — not quite your standard job. But we like a challenge, and no task is too big for us. We’re already working on getting them sorted and back to their owners.
