A Week of N Gauge, Layout Plans and a Surprise Find at Lidl
It’s been another busy week in the workshop with a strong showing from N gauge locos coming in for servicing and repairs. Always great to see how many of these smaller-scale engines are still running well after a bit of attention. Even a few OO gauge locos made their way onto the bench, keeping things varied and interesting.
Outside of the tools and soldering iron, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a fellow forum member to chat about potential layout ideas for the workshop. It’s always inspiring to bounce ideas around and think about new ways to make the space both practical and fun for running sessions.
On the restoration layout, steady progress continues. It’s satisfying to see it slowly coming back to life, one section at a time. This week’s efforts pushed things forward again, and there’s plenty more still to come.
And finally, in true modeller fashion, a trip to the middle aisle of Lidl turned up some Airfix kits! You never quite know what you’ll stumble across in there — a nice little bonus to round off the week.
